I was born in Hartford, CT and raised in Windsor, CT.
After graduating law school with an interest in the international human rights framework, I started volunteering in local immigration and civil rights advocacy groups. My visible participation and aptitude for networking landed me a role as Legislative Analyst for the Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC) of the Connecticut General Assembly (CGA). As a community liaison to state policymakers, I connected with diverse Asian-Pacific Islander (API) groups to celebrate our cultures and create pubic policy solutions to disparities in civil rights, economic opportunity, education, health, and housing.
After dedicating five years to public service, I transitioned to the grassroots/non-profit sector to advance my activism and advocacy in social justice. While coordinating a statewide immigrant rights coalition, I developed skills in communications, strategy, grant writing, and organizing.
Around summer 2020, I took some time away from professional life to focus on healing and redirection. My process led me to living as an introverted brown boy in the suburbs: music, writing, and being outside. I also picked up photography (or at least taking pictures) as a serious hobby.
Over several years and significant changes, I've adopted a holistic understanding of the roles my different experiences played in guiding me towards my purpose in life.
I currently operate a solo legal and creative firm designed to help people from around the world fulfill their dreams.
